I got to take a trip to Costa Rica recently and pretty much couldn’t put my camera down. I visited Jaco, Dominical, and Manual Antonio, and all of it was beautiful. There’s a ton of waterfalls, including a few that you have to work pretty hard to find. I highly recommend going if you haven’t been. You won’t regret it.
I really love the way these images look in black and white and sepia tone. Costa Rica offers lots of color; however turning these black and white seems to really bring out the peacefulness in them.
Walking along the beach brings many surprises and neat little hideaways. It would be amazing to have a piece of property like this on a beach one day.
This device is used to press sugarcane in order to get the sweet sweet liquid from it.
I also came across many great places to stop and grab a bite to eat and a coffee. You can meet some really friendly people along the way.
You can always find a great place to stop and grab a nap too.
I wish I could say this killer Toyota Land Cruiser was my ride. This is what I imagine I would own if I lived in Costa Rica.
The images look pretty cool in color as well. The hues are so amazing in Costa Rica. It’s hard to show all of these images in just black and white.
I wanted to cross this bridge so badly; however, being in the middle of nowhere, I decided to skip it since I had no clue how close I was to the nearest hospital.
It was nice being able to walk along a beach and not see any houses or even a single person.
This rock reminds me of something straight out of Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom.
There’s all kinds of wildlife in Costa Rica. The lizards and monkeys were my favorites.
